SlopeStyle is in

Here's some good news that we received today from our National Federation:

Slopestyle has been approved by the FIS congress last week as a World Championship discipline.  Inclusion in 2011 at La Molina, Spain is uncertain, inclusion in 2013 in Quebec City is definite.  The next step will be some lobbying for inclusion in 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

From Tom McIllfaterick our CEO : "We held a World Cup Slopestyle in Calgary last year (the first in World Cup history), and will hold one again in 2011 and 2012. Slopestyle may not be in the 2011 World Championships because it is a financial concern for the organizers. We will definitely have Slopestyle on the program for the 2013 World Championships."

On another note, ski halfpipe has been endorsed has an Olympic event for 2014 from the FIS congress, it is now up to the International Olympic commity to approuve it.

This is a really great news. We will keep you posted on this.
