SBF at Stoneham NorAm
the future of Quebec snowboarding...

Well it's official... There is a future for our sport. The next generation of snowboarders flaunted their skills in the halfpipe at the Stoneham Nor Am this week. Snowboardfirm riders at an average age of 14 threw down in both days of competition. Young phenom, Justin De Castris was too young to participate but was able to fore run the event. His run was so spectacular that the judges gave him a score. Even with a butt check on his backside 720, his score would of placed him 2nd(unfortunatly he missed the FIS cut off by 2 weeks). Have you ever seen a 13 year old do a 900 12 feet out of a superpipe?

We had 3 riders under the age of 14 try 900 in these events. Unbelievable you say, go check out our videos.

Sebastian Leclair took top honors in Mondays event finishing 1st. It's rare that you see a 15 year old take a victory lap in his first Nor Am event. And the best part is that his second run scored higher.

What can I say, Snowboardfirm is producing some of the best young riders in North America.
